EMERGENCY - Graphics Printing ALL BLACK

J

JB

I recently switched from MS Office 97 to MS Office XP and
am encountering a graphics printing problem. I am using
an HP LaserJet 2200d printer with 72 MB RAM and W2000
Pro. My computer has tons of free disk space and 1 GB RAM
(really).

I have a large document that has one large JPG image
inserted on each page. I print it using the PCL
5e 600 dpi setting, with "Print Graphics as Raster", and 2-
sided printing. Now those images are printing as ALL
BLACK!

I'm sure this is software-related, but am also checkng the
HP forum. But has anyone encountered this before?

My test page for the HP PCL 5e driver prints fine, and I
can print this document with no problems using the HP PCL
6 drivers. But I need to use the 5e driver to avoid moire
in these particular graphics.

These are the latest drivers from the HP Site. I've
already tried removing the PCL 5e printer, rebooting,
downloading a fresh driver, and installing it again, but
no dice.

HELP!

Hi J.B.,

If you change the graphics setting from Raster to Vector
in the printer properties it's printing correctly?

How much memory is in the printer?

How current is your copy of Word 2000
(http://office.microsoft.com/productupdates)

If you use File=>Web Page Preview
does it appear correct and does it print
from the browser correctly?

If you use Ctrl+X on the graphic in your document
and then use Edit=>Paste Special to paste it back
into Word as a different graphic format does it
print correctly?
