SWEET DAMSEL IN DISTRESS

I have a copy of Microsoft Office 2000 ACADEMIC EDITION.

I had to reinstall my software as I removed it to get more memory.

The Product ID has 25 digits and I get the ERROR 1316 when trying to reinstall the cd.

Thanks for any help

Hi,

Try deleting the related registry key for Office 2000 under Uninstall
(WARNING: Backup your registry before attempting)

HKEY_Local_Machine\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

1- Click Start > Run
2- Type regedit and click OK
3- Navigate to the registry key

HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

4- Delete the related registry key for Office 2000
5- Re-insert your CD to re-run the setup program

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
