Hi Adrienne -
I'm afraid nobody can help very much because you don't provide enough
information - For example, it's impossible to tell you what type of disk you
need because you don't say what type of *drive* you have. You should have
some type of documentation that spells all that out for you or you can go to
the computer mfr's web site & look up the specs for your model. If you have
a USB Flash Drive you might be better off to use that instead.
Also, you make no mention of what you need to do with the file once you get
it to school. Do you need to continue editing the file or do you simply want
to display it as a finished product? If the former you should be able to
simply copy the file (NOT Save As) to your removable device once you get the
answers to the above question. For the latter case you may want to use the
Save As command in PPt to create a PPt Movie, PPt Package or PPt Show -
which depends on a number of variables about which we know nothing in your
specific situation. As a basic "guess" I would think PPt Show would be the
most likely choice. Save to your hard drive then copy to the other media
from an OS X Finder window as above.
And when you get to where you need to go, copy the file to that system's
hard drive - don't open it from the removable media (especially if you
intend to edit the file).
Good Luck |:>)

Hello! I am pressed for time to put a powerpoint onto a disk for
school. I am using a Mac but the laptop at school is a windows (and
I'm sure its an older version of PP). So how do I copy the
presentation onto a disk and what kind of disc do I need? Basically I
just need step by step instructions (or links to them). My biggest
concern really is what kind of disk I need because I end up getting
the wrong one and wasting money. Thank You for your help, I truly
appreciate it.
