EMF quality

Hi everyone,

I have a logo for a header that looks something like "ABC |
technologies" that I am exporting from illustrator cs3 as an EMF
file. The text looks great (as long as it is not converted to
outlines) however Word places a black line around the rectangular path
separating the 'ABC' and 'technologies' and I can't tell why. I have
opened the emf in illustrator to check if there are any hidden paths
etc but it looks fine. Only when I import it into Word does the
'border' show up, and it shows up in print as well as on the screen.

Is there anyone who can suggest a workaround?
