How do I use the emoticons in Microsoft Outlook on message boards?

What emoticons and what message boards?
Outlook has no emoticons. It converts a few keystrokes to smiles etc but
that is an Outlook only feature.

How do I use the emoticons in Microsoft Outlook on message boards?

While Outlook will do a limited number of autocorrect substitutions, you can
have Outlook display emoticons for some of the more common test-based 'cons
like and LOL on incoming plain text mail using Oulook-Quotefix.
