Perhaps someone could assist me in settling a bet between my girlfriend and I...
approx how many programmers are used in the development and creation of the microsoft office series. I can't seem to get any clear employment statistics from the microsoft homepage. I need an answer to this in order to convince her that "the guy who made Excel" is actually an entire team of conspirators working against her livelyhood and productivity.

We do not give an precise figures as they are changing. But you are correct
in that the Office group consists of people numbering in the thousands.
This is made up of managers, planners, designers, developers and testers.
All of these together design and build the Microsoft Office products.
