empty / blank meeting requests

Dov Cohn

A subset of the meeting requests I receive come through
blank - no meeting time, accept/decline etc. They are
just a blank email w/ the subject line of the meeting as
set by the meeting requestor. Other people on the meeting
request receive everything fine.

It only happens w/ some of the senders i receive requests
from. Some requests from other senders come through
fine. Is it a setting on the sender's outlook or
something in mine?

Thanks

This was available from another website. Did not seem to work for me when
sending "blank" invitations:

"When sending meeting requests or appointments from Outlook 2002/XP, meeting
Requests/appointments come in as blank emails and the recipient cannot accept
or decline the request.

In Outlook 2002/XP, Outlook is set by default to MS Exchange meeting
request/calendar format - iCalendar. To fix this, go to Tools > Options >
Calendar Options > and UN-check "When sending meeting requests over the
Internet, use iCalendar format".

You should now be able to send meeting requests just fine and the recipient
should be able to accept or decline.
