empty emails

After the install of Outlook 2007 i can no longer view any of my emails that
were marked as unread. When i click to view them, the only information that
is displayed is the subject. The entire contents of the email message is
blank. If i use another mail program or view the message online in webmail
(gmail, hotmail) the messages are fine.

I am having the exact same problem, and it is with POP3, some of mine in HTML
and also in some IMAP...

im using POP3. Something is different in the way Outlook 07beta and Outlook
03 handles the messages. All messages from the same account that were
already viewd once in Outlook 03 can still be viewed fine in 07. Its only
the new messages from the same account that have never been viewed that wont
show any content in the message body.

Hopefully (i wont hold my breath on this one) MS can fix this and release a
update or something. Otherwise this makes outlook basicly useless as the
primary function of the app is broken.

someone figured out the problem in another thread.
If you are using AVG virus scanner you have to disable the email scanner and
all "new" message will show as expected, but any messages that are already
not showing the contents will continue to not show any content.
Not really a good workaround as it opens your email up to virus threats.

Same problem but solution did not work. I turned off real time and snooozed
the program also. Still can not open a single message. Still getting the
""Message with restricted permissions cannot be viewed in reading pane until
you verify credentials.
Open item to read contents"....

I can not open a single email received from the server. Nor can I send out
messages. They just sit there and ignore the send button...

your problem may be related to something else, i never got the error message
about restricted permissions etc. Are you using AVGfree? or some other virus
soft.
