Emptying Deleted Items Changes Application Focus

When I empty the Deleted Items folder, either by Tools |
Empty "Deleted Items" Folder, or right click and
Empty "Deleted Items" Folder, as soon as I click on Yes,
the focus changes from Outlook 2003 to any other running
application....

I'm running OL2K3 on Windows XP Pro, no corporate build,
and I've replicated this on clean and upgraded from
Office 2002 builds...

Anyone seen this, or know of a fix to it?
