Emptying Hotmail Deleted Mail Folder

Is there something I am missing about emptying the deleted mail folder in a
hotmail account via Entourage? I see the deletion as a scheduled event, but
my folder never appears to be emptied (same when I do an "instant" delete at
a given moment). If I empty the email folder from another computer via
Windows Live Mail, I see the result of this in Entourage, but cannot seem to
do it directly from Entourage.

Hi Ron,

no, you're not doing anything wrong. You simply can't empty your Deleted
Items folder via Entourage due to some server-specific restriction on
Hotmail's side. If you want to empty the folder, you will need to do so in
the webmail interface, as you've already found out by now.
