enable English in Office 2007

I have Windows XP and ater installing Office 2007 my spell checker is in
French. How to I set it to check spelling in English? I have Outlook Express.

Outlook Express isn't part of Office 2007 and doesn't understand the
Office spellcheck. You need something else.

Hi golfer,

The English language proofing tools for Office 2007 apps are included, but MS Outlook Express is, unfortunately not part of Office
but rather part of Windows/Internet Explorer. The folks responsible for Outlook Express have chosen not to upgrade Outlook Express
to use the new proofing tools that Office 2007 uses. (Outlook Express can use the Proofing tools of older Office versions - it has
none of its own).

There are a number of 3rd party add-ins for Outlook Express that folks have used for adding an English language spell check to
Outlook Express.

Here are a couple that folks have reported work for them. The 2nd one has links to spellers for other than U.S. English (although
with some qualifications).
