Enabling Macro

M

Mary

I'm new to macros/VBA, so please be patient. I created a macro in VBA and
was almost successful to get someone else to use it. it works great on my PC.
I exported the macro and had them import the macro into their schedule.
However when they go to run it, the "RUN" button is disabled. If they try to
run it from VBA, an error message to "enable macro" appears. The out of the
box macros work, and the reference for Excel is checked (the macro just
writes tasks to excel since most of our users don't have MSproject). What's
the simple thing that needs to be done? I go this same thing in the past
when someone gave me their schedule and I tried to run a macro that was in
that schedule.

Hello Mary,

If you are using Project 2003 it is likey the other person's
installation of MS Project is set to not allow macros to run.

On his/her machine navigate to Tools > Macro > Security, set the macro
security to Medium to allow the user to opt to run macros, or Low.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
