Enabling Macros

whenever I open or close any of my Office XP programs a
window pops up saying, "The macros in this project are
disabled. Please refer to the online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to
enable macros." The blue bar at the top of the window
says "Microsoft Visual Basic." It gives me "OK"
and "Help." I don't know how to enable macros! can
anyone please tell me how, this pop up message is really
annoying.
