Hi Richie,
I'm not clear on how F6 within Word 2007 is coming into play. It moves the focus between menu/task pane elements. If you've
installed the East Asian and complex script supplemental Windows XP Control panel
Regional and Language Options=>Languages andSettings
and in that same dialog used [Details] to add Japanese Keyboard as a language, and assign there a keyboard setting to switch to that
keyboard.
When in Word 2007 if you then use that keyboard shortcut setting (example, Ctrl+Shift+3) the Japanese IME toolbar should appear near
the Windows taskbar and you can turn input on and off and choose the input method you want to use. Direct input usually requires
typing a character pair to convert English to Japanese characters, but you can use the soft keyboard or the writing pad as well.
================
I have xp media center with language support with english and japanese
enabled. set the default in office 2007 language support to japanese. i went
into word 2007, pess F6 for hiragana, typed some japanese romanji words and
nothing was converted. everything is english letters.
How can i make japanese letters display?>>
