Question: "Select the encoding that makes your document readable."

It would seem that whenever a document or file is saved in Office 2003,
like a Wab.CVS file, it gets converted to Word and then I have to select a
program for encoding to make the document readable. How do I make it
readable? Do I have to save it in another program or possibly another format.
Generally I don't understand why some files become encoded and what to do if
they are. Any suggestions or info I might read to clear this up?

CSV stands for "comma separated values". It is intended for database and
or spreadsheet use. If you load "funny text" formated files into Word,
it wants to know how to handle them because there are so many ways a
user can save a file of that type.
