Encrypted email connection,,,NOT!

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2003 and it won't send mail.

It will receive, but not send.

Each time I try to send, it won't go, and a message pops up
about sending an encrypted email message.

A 2nd popup says "Sending reported error (0x800CCC7D): Your outgoing
SMTP server does not support SSL-secured connections."

I have no clue what this means, nor how to undo it.

If it is encrypted, I don't know how it got that way.

How do I turn that off so the email will work?

I had this problem with Outlook 2000, upgraded to 2003, but the
problem did not go away.

Thanks in advance,

Allan

If you go to Tools || Email Accounts || NEXT || highlight the account in
question and select Change || Advanced || have you got a check in "This
server requires an encrypted connection", if yes see if unchecking helps.
Also check Tools || Options || and see if you have anything checked on the
Security Tab.

Thanks. That took thinks a step forward!

Unfortunately, something else is snafu.

Now, email goes to the Outbox and stops.

I click on 'send receive' and it comes back as undeliverable to my
address, which I am using for testing purposes.

" None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient."

I've no clue.
