hi ya'll...
the style guide for a document I'm writing requires that all references
be listed numerically at the end of the document, and noted in the text
with a superscript...and fortunately, Word's "end notes" will do this
*almost* perfectly. I have only two problems with using end notes in
this fashion. the first is that the end note text only shows up when I
edit things in 'print layout view'...since I much prefer 'normal view'
I find this to be irritating & awkward, but it's not a show stopper.
however, the second problem is more troublesome...does any one know if
there is some way to eliminate the line that preceeds the list of end
notes at the end of the document? like this...
document text ends here.
------------------ (<= I want this thing to go away!)
1. this is the first end note/reference
of course, the use of end notes might not be the only way to skin this
particular cat...any method/macro for automated management of reference
numbers would be better than trying to do the task manually!
any and all advice, suggestions, tips, tricks, etc. will be gladly
accepted!
my thanks in advance...
