Since recurring appointments are stored as a single event in the calendar, we
need a way to end recurring appointments without making any other changes to
past exceptions. If we could end the recurring appointment, then we could
copy and paste an instance of the recurring appointment and make changes to
the copy without affecting the changes to past ocurences.
