end series without changing exceptions in prior appointments

Does anyone know how to put an end date on a recurrence (that originally had
no end date) without changing any exceptions that occurred along the way in
that series? When I end a recurrence, then all the prior changes (times,
cancellations) all reset and I lose all my history. Outlook XP

No need to ask more than once.

I don't think there's a way to do what you describe.
