Ending Sound file with volume fade

I can insert and play wma sound file starting at a certain slide and going for x slides. It the song is still playing after x slides (lets say 3mins of a 3:30 song), can it fade out instead of cutting off abruptly?

I know I can edit the song using my mixer and save it to the right length & fading out the ending, but can PP transition the song ending with a fade?

Thanks

No, PowerPoint doesn't have that function. Nor can you edit images or
videos.

I don't have the answer to your question but you have the
answer to mine!!!

You say you know how you can insert a wav file at one slide
and have it continue for several slides - this is what I
would like to know. I would like to then save it as a
pps file and copy to disc to send to friends.

Hope someone can help
Terry
