Ending winword in the task manager

I have a code that generates a word document in my access
database and every time I re-run the code I get the
message that I can not open the document because it is
opened elsewhere. When I open the task manager and end
the winword I can run the code.
Is there a way I can end winword using vb code?

It is obvious that the code that starts MS Word was not written properly.
The Word process that is used to generate a Word document should be ended
properly thta that code. You need to post that piece of code, so that the
problem can be spotted.
