Endless Loop with Outlook Send

My Outlook 2007 developed a weird problem. Some times, an e-mail in
Outlook 2007 goes into some sort of endless loop, triggering multiple
"sending e-mail" tasks (thousands of them
actually) while actually not delivering anything.

I have:

- scanned my PST with scanpst.exe
- re-create my PST from scratch;
- created a new profile
- disabled all third-party aps that communicate with Outlook
- "repaired" my Outlook installation;

None of this is helping...

Any suggestions!!!!???

Any chance you have an AntiVirus application setup to scan your email? This
is a common failure mode for such applications when they break (and they ALL
do).
