Endnote style

hello,

I want to use endnotes in a Word document. I would like
the endnote style to be as following:

This is a test[1]

i.e. the endnote number within "[]". Is this possible?

If yes, how do I do it?

I am using MS Word 2000 on the PC.

It's possible, but only using manual methods. Change the Footnote Reference
style to be not superscript, then insert the brackets manually.
