endnotes footnotes

How do you remove the hyperlink between an endnote number
and the rollover text in the body of the text with the
endnote at the end of a document? My copy is to be used
in an application that doesn't support this feature. I
want to keep all the endnotes, but want to disable the
linking and rollover feature.

Yes I tried converting it to HTML (the endnotes,
rollovers, and links survived) and to DOS and to Rich
Text, and to Text, but then lost all my formating, which
resulted in jumbled text.
