I am preparing a book in Word. Currently, I have all content (text +
endnotes) in a single matser document and need to create separate files for
each chapter. Once I do that, I will need to copy each chapter's endnotes
into a separate file.
I have two question:
1. Once I create the separate chapter files, is there any way to copy the
endnotes for a given chapter into a new document, without all the notes being
converted to "1" (which is what happens now)? In other words, how do I
preserve the numbering scheme across documents?
2. If I prefer to keep a copy of a chapter's endnotes within the chapter
file, is there a way to prevent the header's page number from numbering the
endnote pages? In other words, I want the numbering to stop on the last page
of content in a given chapter.
Any help would be appreciated.
