To establish the standard currency for your Project Server system, do the
following:
1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server with
administrator permissions
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Open Enterprise Global
3. Click Tools - Options
4. On the View page, type a $ in the Symbol field
5. Click the OK button
6. Save and close the Enterprise Global
7. Close Microsoft Project Professional
8. Ask everyone in the system to close and relaunch Microsoft Project
Professional
After making this change, your PM's will get a warning message the next time
they open an existing project. The error message simply indicates that
their project is using a different currency from the system currency. They
should simply click OK to continue with opening the project, and then
Project Server will apply the $ currency to all cost fields in the project.
