English Academic Office in Japan

I'm a university teacher in Japan looking for an English 'Academic'
version of Office 2004. Apparently such a beast is hard to come by
here.

I'm wondering if using the Japanese version, it is possible (and easy)
to set all menus, help, etc. to English.

Very late reply...generally the answer is No, there's no easy way to switch
the language for menus around in installations of Office.
