English LIP for 2003 office

P

Peter Foldes

English is the Default language for Office. Which original language version are you using ?????

Language Interface Packs are for less-used languages like Basque, Tamil,
Afrikaans, etc. They are not for mainstream languages like English, French,
Chinese, etc. There is no Language Interface Pack for English for Office
2003, and there never will be.

The English Language Pack mentioned by Thierry is something completely
different, and is for localized versions of the Office 2007 system only.
See comment below.

I recommend that the original poster try to find an English language version
of Office 2003, or upgrade to English Language 2007.

Hello,

I suppose you are looking for an English Language Pack because you have a
localized version of Office.

Check this post out:

Language Packs can be obtained from the following site on Office Online:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX102113661033.aspx

Thierry, on this page the link to "Buy a single language pack now" has gone
dead. It takes one to a page which says "Product not found." Any idea?

Thanks, Earle,

I'll inform colleagues from Office Online that this link has got a problem
right now, indeed. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

Thanks, too, for adding these clarifications about the distinction between
LIP and Single Language Packs. You are absolutely right. I interepreted the
poster's question as a request for a way of changing the UI from a localized
version to an English UI, in which case the English Language Pack for Office
2007 would be the solution.

Thanks,

Thierry
