English UK keeps reverting to English US.Why?

Why does my Word document keep reverting back to English US frommy preffered
English UK. I've changed it in Start< all programmes>MS Office tools and
restarted Word but it still happens. Using XP Pro.

No, it's because Word thinks it knows better than the user.
