Hi!
When creating a new task in Project Pro, I need to allocate a human
resource and another resource called "point work", that is a resource
that contains medium cost related to the extra expenses that the
company has when a resource uses telephone, internet, electric power
etc. For instance, I have that the cost of a work point for the whole
company is from US$ 600.00/month per person. Obviously, if a resource
only works the half of the month, the expense that the company would
have it was of US$ 300.00.
Technically, I allocate a human resource as work resource. The
resource "point work" in the same way. As recommended by a book on
Project Pro that I read, this "work point" would be also a work
resource.
The problem is that, when I publish the project, he attributes to the
"point work" as assignment owner, to me even. If I publish, he sends
twice for "my tasks" in PWA the same task, however with different
resources. This way, in PWA, I have to update, to save and to send the
two, for the project is updated.
For your experience, is this really the correct form of accomplishing
the accompaniment of the costs involving people and materials? I
already tried to use it as material resource or cost resource, but I
saw that was not it that I desired.
Do I really need always to update the real cost of the resource "point
work" through PWA? If I will place the cost for use for each resource
of the company it would be very unviable for me, because the
interesting would be that, when I allocated a human resource it
updated the task, automatically it was also inserted the costs of the
point of work, because this resource has variable costs.
Thanks!
