Ent 2004/IMAP connections freeze wake from sleep, iMacIntel

Pretty regularly upon wake from sleep on iMac Core Duo. Symptom is
"connection to [server]" message just stays there. If I quit and restart
Entourage all is OK. Anyone elxe seeing this?

Yes, I have the same problem. That's why I'm checking this group this
morning. I force quit Entourage and then restart my system. Sometimes
the system won't even shut down, and I have to unplug the computer.
This problem is making me so crazy that I'm about to abandon Entourage
and use Apple Mail! I'll post again if I find any answers
