Greetings all,
This is the scenario:
NT4 domain
3rd Party Mail Server (POP/SMTP)
Outlook 2003 & 2007
Users are required to change their domain login passwords every ninety days.
When they do so, Outlook complains and pops up a dialog box asking them to
enter their network password. If, in the blank provided, they enter their
EMAIL password (not the same password as their domain password since this
isn't an Exchange environment where it's all linked) then they can get their
mail as normal, but each time they go to check their mail they have to enter
their mail password.
If I have them go through Outlook to Tools -> Email Accounts and have them
go in and just re-enter their password there (again... this password hasn't
changed) then all is good until the next time they have to change their
domain password, at which time the fun starts all over again!
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any info you might have.
Joe
