Enter Network Password message Outlook 2007 and Vista HP

I have diligently read thro many replies to this persistent problem, which I
had with Outlook 2003 and XP previously.

I am very confused about the help given, particularly regarding editing the
registry. None of the MS KB documents I've read refer to Outlook 07 and
Vista, and I have been unable to follow their advice.

I tried adding my domain name to the username in my account settings, as
suggested by someone on a posting, but this didn't work either.

This problem has been ongoing for years. Why can't it be fixed by now,
especially given the numbers of people affected?
