Entering data "ACN" on text field

when I enter data ACN, it is changed to CAN? Is this like
an auto correct feature that I can turn off? The ACN
record appears in a related table but is not behaving the
same way.

Go to Tools, AutoCorrect... and change the settings as needed. You can
either uncheck 'Replace text as you type', or remove the conversion of ACN to
CAN from the list of auto corrections.

you can also press backspace when it happens and the autocorrection is taken
out.
