I am entering dollar and cents in a spreadsheet I have used for my monthly financials and have upgraded to 2008 recently. Now when I enter a figure such as 94.80 it automatically goes to 95

I know there is a simple way to turn this off, can someone tell me.

Could be either of 2 things:

You have the cells formatted for 0 decimal places, or
You have "Display this number of decimal places" checked in Excel>
Preferences - Edit.

Reformat the cells if the former, remove the check if the latter.

Are you referring to the display of 95 when you enter 94.8 (i.e., does
the formula bar still show 94.8 when the cell's selected)? If so, change
the format of your cell to display two decimal points (or a currency
format).

If entering 94.8 actually causes the cell to contain 95 (i.e., the
formula bar shows 95), then uncheck the 'Precision as displayed'
checkbox in Preferences/Calculation.
