Entering Foot Notes Manually in WOrd 2007

I've been trying to add to a manuscript that already has numbered footnotes -
I have track changes on - the new paragraph was added in a different color
and underlined, but when I click on Enter Footnote - it adds it as Number (1)
after # 67 - the notes say to click on the Footnotes dialog box launcher - I
don't know what that is and can't seem to be able to manually number
footnotes that I need to add. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What do you mean by "manually add" footnotes? If you add a footnote,
it will fit into the existing numbering (and all the notes after will
get a new number). But Track Changes keeps track of both the old and
the new number, so it won't be completely satisfactory until the
Changes are Accepted.
