Entering start/end date with time

D

DML

Is there a way to enter the start or end date with time other that manually
editing the time portion? The pop-up calendar only shows days....so not see
a way to specify time.

We are currently using P3 and I am reviewing Project 2003 to see if it meet
our requirements. Projects are scheduled in hours. P3 calendar allows
picking a date and specifying the time.

If not available in Project 2003, how about 2007?

Thanks
David

For all versions of Project, you can only pick a date. To add time, edit the
date and enter the time. 24 hour time is quicker, EG 15:00 for 3 pm.
Remember though that it is much better to let project calculate all dates
for you by using durations and task links. Only enter dates for constraints
(EG Equipment available from).

Hi DML,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

If you change the Date format to include a time, it becomes obvious:
Tools/Options/View tab

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
