Hello All,
We are working with Project Server 2003 and Project Pro2003. We follow the
standard method of assignment tasks to team leads, who then delegate them to
others. The issue we are having is this:
When a task is delegated to a user, it shows on their timesheet view, but
does not allow them to enter time against the task until the PM updates the
project.
However if the same user assigns themselves to the same task, it shows on
their timesheet and allows them to enter time against it. The PM still has to
approve and republish the changes, but this doesn't prevent the user from
entering time.
Is anyone else having this problem, or is this intentional design? We tested
this initially in lab without any problems , but disovered this in Go Live.
I'm a little stump, because it seems illogical to force users to wait for a
PM to update before they could enter time. Especially when the
self-assingment doesn't wait.
Any help or suggestions would be much appriciated!
Regards,
Liv
