Enterprise 2007 project template

R

Robert

Hello,
How can we create, in EPM 2007, a project template which would be available
at the Enterprise level, for every project manager?
Thanks for your help

One of your PMs or some other responsible party should create the template
and then do the following:

1. Click File - Save.
2. In the Save to Project Server dialog, enter a name for the project
template in the Name field.
3. Click the Type pick list and choose the Template item.
4. DO NOT select values for your organization's custom enterprise Project
fields.
5. Click the Save button.
6. In the Save as Template dialog, select all of the checkboxes in the
dialog and then click the OK button.
7. In the warning dialog about enterprise calendars, click the Yes button.
8. Click File - Close to close the enterprise project template.
9. In the Close dialog, select the Discard Changes option and the Check In
option and then click the OK button.

Step #9 is VERY IMPORTANT, so follow that step exactly as I specify. If you
complete the above steps as listed, you DO NOT need to specify values in
your organization's custom enterprise Project field, including any Required
fields. By doing this, you will guarantee that your PMs MUST select a value
in each Required field before they can save their projects. Hope this
helps.
