Dear Friends,
In my company, we use EPM Small-scale enviroment project server 2003 and our
project managers are supposed to follow and monitor the project plan created
by vendors who are contracted with my company, all resources in the project
plan are outside my company , when the PM publishes his Project plan to the
EPM he gets the follwing error:
Enterprise standard calendars are required to:
Buid a team for a non-enterprise project
Save a non-enterprise project into the server
Import resources to the enterprise
This may result in changes to schedule dates. Do you want
to continue?"
so could you please help solving the issue in details,
thanks in advance dears :)

I'm fairly new at this but I believe all you need to do is open your
enterprise global and change working time (you can also create a new calendar
to be made available to enterprise templates). Then save your enterprise
global and reopen Project Pro.

Are your PM's creating plans outside of Project Server. It sounds like they
are opening a local MPP file and using the Save As option to put the plan
into MPS. This would be a normal message. When you OK the action to use
enterpise calendars they will override calendar settings established in the
local plan for every enterprise resource.

Managing the enterprise calenders is done through Enterpise Global for the
base or standard calendar. Define your work day hours etc and mark all
company holidays as non-working. You only need to update a resource calendar
if it is different from the standard (individual resource vacations for
example). To do this you open the specific resources either through the
Resource Centre of in Project Pro directly.

Turki -

I would add that if you modify the Enterprise Project Calendar and keep
it named "Standard" your Enterprise Resources with the "Standard"
resource calendar will pick up the same dates. If they have different
names, they will not.

Also, the Gantt chart will not pick up the days off unless you
configure it to do so - in other words, your schedule might have a
Monday holiday, but the Gantt chart will not show it unless you do the
following:

Show the calendar's selected non-work days, you must also incorporate
the calendar into the Gantt chart Timescale. To do this, double-click
on one of the vertical gray bands on the Gantt chart. This will start
the Timescale dialog box. Select the correct calendar and click OK.

Hope this helps,
