Enterprise Calendar

This is a post as a follow-up to a question I left earlier, which I
believe I have found an answer to. Possibly my initial word-smithing
was not as clear as it should have been.

My initial question:

Working with 2003. I added holidays to the Enterprise Calendar
(Standard) for the upcoming year. Why do these non-working days not
change dates on projects that are already created?

Problem: PM's said non-working days were not updating

What I've found:

If a task has not completed and a start date has been entered which is
a non-working day, the date will adjust to the next working day.

If a task is complete the start date will not change for any reason,
other than if you manually change it.

You will run into issues when start dates are planned out further than
non-working days have been entered into your enterprise calendar. In
our case, non-working holidays are not entered for the next FY until
the May before the next FY begins. Therefore, a date a PM expects to
be a holiday (non-working day), will not appear to be a non-working
day until the new FY Holidays are entered. Once those holidays (non-
working days) are entered, then when the Plan is next opened, the
Start Dates will adjust IF the task has not yet completed.
