Hi all,
I want to check in this calendars business trips or something like that.
What is the best practicies to define different calendars for resources? Do
I need to define for each of resources they own calendars or there it's not
reasonable? And I do not ant to use administrative tasks :)

TIA

Each resource in the Enterprise Resource Pool has his/her own personal
calendar. On this calendar, you can enter nonworking time such as vacation
or sick leave. You can also edit the resource's calendar to show a unique
working schedule for the resource, such as when someone works 4 days per
week at 10 hours/day. If you have multiple resources that work the same
unique schedule, and their schedule is different from the working schedule
shown on the Standard calendar, then you should probably create a custom
calendar for those resources. For example, if you have 100 people whose
work schedule follows the Standard calendar, and 12 people who work the 4x10
schedule, I would create a custom calendar for thsoe people and call it
something like 4x10. I would then set that 4x10 calendar as the Base
Calendar for each of those 12 people, which simplifies the process greatly.

Thank you, Dale. I don't know before about personal calendars for
resources which are available for modifying by default. But I still have a
questions about it. How to use them? I mean where I can open calendar for
resource for editing?

TIA

Open the Enterprise Resource Pool and check out the resources whose calendar
you wish to edit. Double-click the name of the resource and in the Resource
Information dialog for the selected resource, you can see their calendar and
enter non-working time on the calendar. Hope this helps.
