Enterprise Custom Field that reads from a date field

I want to have a project-level enterprise custom field that is called "golive
date." I then want a formula to reside in that field that looks in the
project schedule and pulls the Finish Date from a specific task (there will
be a consistent task name to this task across all projects, such as "golive
date.")

Is this possible? I want to do reporting at the project level that shows
this date, and -- unfortunately -- the golive date is not as simple as
identifying the end date from the project summary task (we capture
post-golive activities in our schedules.)

Create an enterprise custom task date field with a formula that tests whether
the task name is "golive date." If yes, then Finish Date; if no, then
1/1/1984. Set rollup to Maximum, and use formula for summary tasks.

Then have your enterprise project field = the custom task date field.
