Enterprise Field data is slipping

We have an enterprise (text) field set up to store project
manager names. A month ago our system crashed while
someone was working in the enterprise global. Now we are
finding the values selected on projects for this field are
sporadically shifting. There appears to be no pattern
other than the data shifts down to the next value in the
list. For example if I select a PM named Abraham the next
time I open the plan Adams might be the project manager
since he is the next one down on the list. Has anyone seen
this sort of thing before? Does anyone have any
suggestions?

The scenario and circumstance you describe smacks of data corruption.
Perhaps you should restore a known good version of the Enterprise Global.
