Enterprise fields and bar styles

How do I get an Enterprise field (such as Enterprise Date1) to successfully
appear in my Gantt chart?

I can set up a new bar style in the Gantt bar defintion table to display a
project field such as Start1 but not an Enterprise one. Project allows me to
enter Enterprise Date1 in the From and To fields of the table but displays
nothing in the actual gantt chart.

If you are referring to Project and not Project Web Access, go to Format -
Bar Styles. Select the bar style you want your enterprise field to appear
on. Click on the Text tab. You can add Enterprise Custom Fields and other
information to the left, right, top, bottom, or inside the bar.

Hi Ed,

I can display an enterprise project field as you describe, but what I want
to do is have my bar start and finish at dates as per my enterprise date
fields. i.e. put them in the From and To fields. Any ideas on why this
isn't working for me?

Since Enterprise Task Date fields are not available in the From/To fields,
you'll have to add a formula to the Start1 and Finish1 fields (or any
Startx/Finishx field). Simply make the start and finish custom fields equal
to your enterprise custom date field.
