Enterprise Global Template change overwites local views

Here is the scenario

I've a user. she makes lots of customizations in her Project Professional
2003 views.

PM customized his views in their project plans in Project Professional 2003.
The view changes are stored locally on their desktop in Global template. When
Project Admin make a change in Enterprise Global template & save it, it
overwirtes PM's local customizations in all the Project Professional views.

I know Global Enterprise template overwrites Global template file.

Is there a way that PM can retain the customizations not matter how many
times Project Admin make changes in Enterprise Global template?

There are several possible causes to this problem:

1. The PM is modifying the Enterprise Gantt Chart view and Enterprise Entry
table. If this is the case, the changes will be lost every time he logs
into Project Server through Microsoft Project Professional.

2. You, the Project Server administator, added the Gantt Chart view and
Entry table to the Enterprise Global and the PM is trying to modify this
View and Table. If this is the case, you should remove the Gantt Chart view
and Entry table from the Enterprise Global file, as neither of these are
enterprise objects and do not belong in the Enterprise Global file. The
Gantt Chart view and Entry table are non-enterprise (local) objects that
should only be found in each PM's Global.mpt file.

The PM can avoid this issue entirely by making a copy of the View and Table
he wishes to modify, giving the new View and Table names that do not appear
in the Enterprise Global file, and then modifying the copies. Hope this
helps.

That solved the issue.

Thanks Dale.
