enterprise global template modification > earned value calculation

I modified the global enterprise template to use the physical % complete.
Saved it and Shut down Project 2003. Then i created a new project where I
noticed that this setting was not set in the new project that I created.

Any particular reason why?

Dave:

The default tracking message is determined by settings you make in Project
Server through Project Web Access administration and is not stored in the
Enterprise Global. That's why it didn't work. Navigate to Admin > Customize
Project Web Access to make changes to these settings.

I opened PWA "Navigate to Admin > Customize > Project Web Access " but I did
not see anywhere where I could change the earned value calculation to be
based upon Physical % complete.

Please let me know if you have any additional information.

Dave:

I apologize, but I misread your post. You need to set this as the default on
every PM machine or set it in a template that everyone uses to begin their
projects.
