I want to fully understand this, is there somewhere that explains how this
works and shows example. I have yet to find a good explanation.

The Enterprise Global is like your company's library of custom enterprise
features, such as Views, Tables, Filters, Groups, Reports, Fields, etc.
Each time a project manager logs into Project Server through Microsoft
Project, two items are loaded into memory and are merged. These items are:

1. The user's local Global.mpt file which contains the user's personal
library of custom features, such as Views, Tables, Filters, Groups, Reports,
Fields, etc.

2. The company's Enterprise Global file, which contains your company's
library of custom enterprise features described above.

These two files are merged into a single file for each user, giving them
access to both their personal library and their enterprise library. The
Enterprise Global is how you quickly distribute new enterprise custom
features to all of your project managers. For example, you need to give
your PM's a new View which is a customized version of the Tracking Gantt
view. To do this, open the Enterprise Global and create the view. Save and
close the Enterprise Global. The next time any project manager logs into
Project Server, he/she will automatically receive the new custom View. Hope
this helps.

Thanks for the explanation, makes a little more sense. I guess I am looking
to get a little in dept of its usage.
Its used for views and tables, what would be some common examples of things
to put in there....I guess looking for do's and don'ts of what to put in the
template. Maybe some people's history of what they used it for.
