Hi all,
We are using Project Server 2007. In our implementation we have many
Enterprise custom fields – some of them are calculated by formula
(Project Schedule, Project Budget...), some are using lookup tables
and some are text field which needs to be populated manually. We have
about 20 enterprise custom project fields.
As these fields are populated in Project Professional when creating
project, we want these fields to be sorted in particular way in
Project Information (or Save As) dialog box, meaning, we want
calculated fields to be listed last.
To provide this, we put prefix (number) in each field name, for
example:
01 Organization
02 Project Class
....
15 Project Schedule
....
In PWA, Project Center, Edit Project Properties, fields are sorted
correctly (alphabetically), but in Project Professional are sorted by
creation date. So if we delete field 02 Department after creation of
all other fields, and add it again (because we want to match it with
lookup table), and rename all other fields accordingly (change
numbers), this 02 Department is listed last in Project Professional.
Is there any way to influence on sorting these fields in Project
Professional?
