Enterprise Project ID Number Skips Numbers

Does anyone know why the Enterprise Project ID number (located in PWA
views) in the MSP_Projects table (field name is Proj_ID) occasionally
skips numbers? We have recently started using Project Server 2003 with
SP2 (MSP Professional 2003 with SP2). We have NOT deleted any projects
as of yet. When the numbers skip, it could be 1 number or upwards of 5
numbers.

We hve the same issue. According to our rep at Microsoft this is not
an issue. Our numbers are jumping by the hundreds. Eventually we feel
this will create an issue withthe numbers getting to large, but
Microsoft claims it will not.
